OPERATION IMPROVEMENT
INTRODUCTION
This course provide method for operation improvement to maximise the return of operation.
COURSE OUTLINE
Day 1
• Root Cause Analysis
o Using structured processes to identify the root causes of the problem
o Exploring almost all possibilities and options
o Use fact to verify
hypothesis, get beyond individual opinion, emotion and
rhetoric
• Equipment Efficiency Analysis
o Identify sources of interruption
o Categories of losses interruption and prioritizes of intervention plan
o Measure actual plant performance
against its potential and benchmark with other players.
• Financial Analysis Tree
o Utilize logic analysis trees to
understand the financials impact of the business activities
o Quickly understand and identify business’s key value drivers to develop intervention plan
Day 2
• Value Gap Matrix
o Identify the greatest potential or opportunities for value creation in the business
o Covering three key levers on Price, Technical Potential and Production Efficiency
o Communicate findings of value gap matrix graphically using a value map
• Feedback and Coaching
o Provide feedback on what constitutes a high quality and high impact conversation
o Appreciation of need to
effectively convey your message “match” with body language and tone
• Career Development Plan
o How to develop own individual goals, and collective goals as a team
o To identify developmental
opportunities and turn aspirations into specific actions and
development objective
At the end of the session, participants will learn:
- To identify root causes of operations limitation and develop intervention plan to maximize the return of business.
- To use logic tree for identifying business key value drivers and facilitate the understanding of financial impact
- To highlight greatest potential or opportunities for value creation in business through value gap matrix.
- To provide high quality and high impact feedback and coaching to unleash greatest potential of employee.
